About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role leads day-to-day operations across assigned ready-mix concrete locations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance. It involves driving a strong safety culture through visible leadership, accountability, and continuous improvement. The Area Manager will manage and develop teams by setting clear expectations, coaching performance, and supporting growth. They will partner with sales, dispatch, and plant leadership to deliver excellent customer service and operational results, and monitor operational metrics and budgets, identifying opportunities to improve cost, quality, and productivity.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence outcomes in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality, and compliance principles with a commitment to operational excellence.
• Proven capability to plan, prioritize, and execute across multiple locations or workgroups.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
• Sound judgment, problem-solving ability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
