THE ROLE: The Shipping & Receiving Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of incoming and outgoing shipments at our facility. You will handle receiving, verifying, and delivering shipments across the site, perform key data entry to track materials, prepare outbound packages (including large freight), and maintain workspace organization and safety. In this critical role, you will use your attention to detail and communication skills to ensure inventory accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with prior shipping and receiving experience
  • Highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic
  • Extremely dependable and productivity minded; able to work with minimal supervision
  • Able to comprehend and follow printed and computer-screen instructions
  • Detailed-oriented with strong organizational skills; capable of managing multiple competing priorities
  • Strong computer skills with particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel or similar software
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Highly organized and assertive; able to work effectively with diverse team members in a collaborative environment

Nice To Haves

  • Additional education in Supply Chain or related fields is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents for completeness and accuracy, and deliver to the appropriate personnel or location
  • Enter shipment information and resolve discrepancies in customer secure management system
  • Prepare outbound packages, including large freight shipments (stretch-wrapping and banding pallets), ensuring all required paperwork and documentation are completed
  • Safely lift and move heavy boxes (up to 50 pounds) and operate a pallet jack
  • Utilize FedEx Shipping interfaces (experience is a plus)
  • Communicate issues effectively in both oral and written terms with customers and co-workers
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, remove empty pallets, organize workstation at the end of the day, and respond to emails
  • Use general Office Applications (Word, Excel, etc.) for daily tasks
  • Adhere to best practices regarding industrial hygiene and workplace safety
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations as required
