The Riverbed Systems Engineer serves as the senior technical authority for Riverbed platforms in a customer environment, maintaining and evolving systems to support the customer's mission. The role designs and implements secure Riverbed monitoring architectures across NIPR, SIPR, and SOCRATES enclaves; develops enclave-specific system design documentation and data flow diagrams; and engineers scalable deployments across hybrid, virtual, and physical infrastructures. It integrates Riverbed tools with SIEM, ITSM, cybersecurity, and enterprise monitoring platforms while ensuring cross-domain and enclave segmentation compliance. The position provides Tier II and III engineering support, root cause analysis, platform administration, system health monitoring, performance tuning, upgrades, patching, backups, and disaster recovery validation. It supports access controls, auditing, configuration management, and change control, and analyzes application, network, and endpoint performance to generate dashboards and mission-impact assessments. The engineer also maintains DoD cybersecurity and STIG compliance, supports ATO documentation and security control validation, coordinates vulnerability remediation, and maintains enclave hardening baselines. The role develops operational documentation and reports, briefs senior leadership on system health and risk, coordinates with network, cybersecurity, systems, and application teams, supports incident response, mentors junior staff, and serves as a technical liaison with government leadership. It monitors Riverbed monitoring servers, resolves data-collection issues, and uses scripting to automate routine tasks. The position requires TS/SCI clearance and a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology.
