About The Position

The Consumer & Business Banking (CBB) Risk Strategy Enhanced Testing Analyst/Citizen Developer will participate in projects and activities that ensure compliance with investor guidelines, internal policies and procedures and other applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as assigned. This position combines line-of-business knowledge with automation tools, e.g., Microsoft Power Platform, to automate process and procedures in a low-code to no-code environment.

Requirements

  • Typically more than two years of applicable experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Computer navigation skills utilizing various software applications, e.g., Microsoft Office, databases and presentations.

Nice To Haves

  • Two to three years of experience in an applicable risk management environment.
  • Two to three years of experience monitoring, auditing, and testing of investor guidelines, regulations and financial services.
  • Understanding of consumer lending/mortgage product/services, business line operations, systems, and associated risks/controls.
  • Knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies.
  • Self-motivated, able to work in a group as well as independently.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Proven adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability as project priorities/requirements evolve or change.
  • Ability to identify and clearly communicate and document issues, root cause, exposure and recommendations
  • Demonstrated presentation (verbal and written) and relationship building skills.
  • Demonstrates technical knowledge in financial systems, audit tools, and other products including but not limited to: ACAPS, ALS, MSP; DocVelocity, LDRS, ECM, Hogan, LeaseMaster, Fusion etc.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies gaps and informs solutions that minimize losses resulting from inadequate internal processes, systems or human errors.
  • Identifies, responds and/or escalates risks as appropriate.
  • Workable knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line-of-business.
  • Develop an understanding of the line-of-business operations, products/services, systems and associated risks/controls.
  • Potential responsibility with reporting, testing/monitoring, exception/resolution activities and providing guidance.
  • Interacts with line-of-business leadership while utilizing and displaying appropriate presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Occasional exposure to regulatory agencies.
  • Design automation of controls to increase productive and reduce errors for assigned line-of-business.
  • Perform high priority and targeted tests and analyze evidence of transaction handling or control performance against defined policies, guidelines or laws.
  • Perform process inquiries, walkthroughs and procedure review to support the development/design of test work papers and control automation solution design documents.
  • Validate populations of desired activity for accuracy and completeness.
  • Selects test samples based on investor guidelines and internal program defined methodology (documenting rationale for adequate coverage).
  • Ensure the resolution of previously identified issues is verified.
  • Perform validation reviews targeted to assess adequacy and sustainability of management corrective actions taken to resolve certain issues or perform historical account reviews (lookbacks) and where applicable customer remuneration.
  • Conduct a lookback to review historical transactions to determine the extent of the impact of a control breakdown.
  • Support or lead test result discussions with line-of-business leadership and risk partners related to identified exceptions/issues, criteria used to define expected results, root cause assessment, exposure assessment and actions needed/recommended.
  • Draft report for management review and distribution; compiling, analyzing, and documenting test work papers which support reported results to key stakeholders.
  • Prepare work papers and readies for management review.
