The Risk and Readiness Manager is responsible for making sure that occupational risks are managed effectively within Hope the Mission (HTM), which operates shelters, kitchens, warehouses, retail, and program sites across Southern California. This role leads HTM's Risk and Readiness function, supervising the Coordinators who manage occupational and industrial health environments. The manager personally investigates significant incidents, including serious injuries, matters reportable to Cal/OSHA, and incidents with legal exposure. The role also oversees post-investigation processes such as recordability determinations, corrective action tracking, escalation of overdue actions, and regulatory responses. The primary focus is on incident prevention through thorough investigations, timely corrective actions, and proactive training.
