About The Position

Walmart is looking for a Risk Monitoring Analyst to join the IROCC (Investigative Risk and Operational Compliance Center) in support of the GSOC (Global Security Operations Center). This position supports Walmart’s U.S. and International businesses and is critical to identifying, validating, and escalating real-time risks that may impact the safety of associates, customers, assets, or operations. This role operates in a fast-paced, 24/7/365 environment, and works closely with Global Security teams and other key business partners to deliver timely, actionable intelligence. This position is an overnight shift. The GSOC Signals Analyst team plays a crucial role within Walmart’s Global Security Operations Center by continuously monitoring and validating global risk intelligence. This team identifies and escalates emerging threats that may impact operations, associates, assets, or reputation. Utilizing advanced analytical tools, they ensure timely and accurate information reaches key stakeholders to support informed decision-making. Their efforts enhance crisis, risk, and emergency management, contributing significantly to the protection and resilience of Walmart’s global business operations.

Requirements

  • Experience in security operations, intelligence analysis, emergency management, risk monitoring, or a related field
  • Strong experience in real-time risk monitoring and information management, using tools such as Dataminr, Factal, ESRI data catalog, and open-source/government sources.
  • Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills with the ability to make decisions under time pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort working in a 24/7 operational environment with shifting priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and incident management or reporting systems
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Emergency Management, Risk Management, Security, or related field and 1 year’s experience in security, emergency management, risk management, law enforcement, fire service, or related area OR 3 years’ experience in security, emergency management, risk management, law enforcement, fire service, or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Assess real-time risks using open-source intelligence (OSINT), internal systems, and third-party alerting tools to track global and domestic risk events.
  • Generate clear, concise, and impactful intelligence for key leadership and stakeholders.
  • Manage competing demands and shifting priorities; effectively support others to meet challenges.
  • Collect, evaluate, and synthesize intelligence from open-source, internal, and third-party sources to create concise incident reports and briefs.
