About The Position

E-Logic, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Risk Management Test SME Safety Specialist to support safety and occupational health activities at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. This is a part-time position, typically requiring approximately 2 days per week, 9 hours per day, with additional days as needed based on project requirements and advance coordination.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
  • Current SECRET security clearance is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 23 years of work experience in a test environment at a Major Range Test and Base Facility (MRTBF).
  • Minimum of 23 years of specialized experience specifically in either: Automotive testing; OR Weapon and ammunition testing.
  • Must be certified to conduct OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Training.
  • Must be fluent in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • Must be able to satisfy applicable Government installation, security, access, and training requirements.
  • Must maintain the required SECRET security clearance throughout employment.
  • Must be able to work independently in a professional testing and safety environment.
  • Must be able to conduct safety inspections and technical assessments.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with technical and operational personnel.
  • Must be able to prepare clear, accurate, and professional written reports.
  • Must be able to conduct safety briefings and presentations.
  • Must be able to analyze hazardous conditions and recommend appropriate safety measures.
  • Must maintain strict compliance with safety and security requirements.
  • Must maintain the required security clearance and Government access throughout employment.
  • Must comply with all applicable safety, occupational health, security, and Government requirements associated with the position, including applicable OSHA standards and installation requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support Explosives Safety activities.
  • Support System Safety activities.
  • Participate in Hazard Analysis Working Groups.
  • Conduct and support Risk Assessments.
  • Support compliance with applicable OSHA requirements and safety standards.
  • Support safety programs involving: Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space, Fall Prevention, Electrical Safety, Material Handling Equipment, Hazardous Materials, Fire and Emergency Response, Accident Investigation, Power Tools and Equipment, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Ergonomics, Noise Monitoring, Air Monitoring, Respiratory Protection Program Administration.
  • Conduct and support workplace safety inspections.
  • Prepare professional inspection and survey reports identifying deficiencies.
  • Prepare deficiency notification memorandums and related documentation.
  • Develop and conduct safety briefings and workforce training, including OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Training.
  • Conduct incident investigations and prepare comprehensive reports of findings.
  • Collect and document photographs and other supporting information associated with investigations.
  • Conduct or assist with technical analyses of hazardous conditions and operations.
  • Monitor safety activities for compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and Government requirements.
  • Prepare and support hazard analyses of ATC operations and testing activities.
  • Provide safety guidance and technical support to personnel involved in testing operations.
  • Develop safety presentation materials and workforce awareness briefings as required.
