The Risk Management Specialist assists the Clinical Risk Manager in reducing loss to the institution through timely review of occurrence reports, development of follow-up for manger's investigative reports and interaction with the hospital staff and physicians on risk reduction processes. The role of risk specialist includes providing consultation and education through on-site assessments, written materials, presentations and workshops. The risk specialist will assist in the development and maintenance of resource materials relevant to risk management/loss prevention issues through the analysis of available data/resources.
