Specialty Human Services (SHS) is looking for a year-round Marketing and Risk Management Intern to join their team. The hours will be part-time during the school year with the opportunity to work full-time during the summer. The internship is based in our downtown Cincinnati headquarters and is a hybrid schedule depending on availability.

Requirements

  • Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week and go in to the Cincinnati office on a hybrid schedule.
  • Currently enrolled in college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA, ideally majoring in Insurance and Risk Management, Marketing, Sales, or related field of study.
  • Proven leadership skills through extracurricular activities, internships/co-ops, or work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Teams).
  • Superior verbal/written communication and analytical skills and ability to multitask.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the divisional sales & marketing team to learn customer service skills and standards.
  • Prepare routine/non-complex correspondence, memoranda, reports, etc., ensuring professional level editing.
  • Maintain files, reports, and/or databases.
  • Become familiar with department policies and procedures, as well as the business and organization.
  • Assist with delivering key risk management resources, such as: Learning Management System, Property & Auto Telematics.
  • Job shadowing and other projects as assigned.
