About The Position

This internship provides hands-on experience supporting the Risk Management team with claims processing and data analysis. The intern will assist with uploading and tracking claims in the Risk Management System, gathering and organizing data related to incidents, claims, and losses, and supporting documentation, follow-up, and general claims administration. This is a part-time, temporary position that does not include health or medical benefits. Hours for this position will not exceed 935 per calendar year.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an engineering, architecture, or related field degree program from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution
• Current enrollment with a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (undergraduate level) or 3 credit hours per semester (graduate level)
• Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
• A valid Nevada driver’s license
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Detail-oriented
• Maintains strict confidentiality
• Strong communication skills
• Strong customer service skills

Nice To Haves

• Interest or foundational knowledge in risk management or insurance concepts
• Experience with data analysis or reporting tools
