About The Position

The Risk Management and Accreditation Compliance Coordinator leads the organization’s quality improvement (QI), risk management, credentialing and accreditation efforts to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered outpatient care. This role oversees compliance with the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) standards for medical and mental health clinics and advances continuous quality improvement across clinical and administrative functions. It also supports teams in identifying, mitigating, and learning from risk while strengthening systems that promote high-quality care. Supports ambulatory operations by working collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams. This is not an enforcement role; it is a partnership role focused on helping teams maintain safe, smooth, and effective workflows through proactive engagement and relationship building. Pat Walker is open Monday-Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Applicable equivalencies may be considered for the above qualifications.
  • At least three years of experience in ambulatory/outpatient quality, compliance, or risk management
  • Demonstrated experience leading quality improvement projects (e.g., PDSA, RCA), writing policies, and preparing for accreditation or regulatory surveys
  • Experience building simple dashboards, trend analyses and proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Experience with electronic health records and clinical services software
  • Ability to proactively and independently identify compliance and operational risks and implement appropriate solutions with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving regulatory requirements, organizational priorities, navigate ambiguity, and remain effective under pressure.
  • Skill in developing effective working relationships and establishing credibility with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
  • Skill in communicating complex regulatory, compliance, and operational concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to evaluate processes, identify inter-dependencies, and develop sustainable improvements.
  • Skill in analyzing data and analytics to support decision-making, prioritize initiatives, and demonstrate outcomes.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree (MHA, MPH, MSN, or related) from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Relevant certification(s): RHIA, RHIT, CPHQ, CPPS, CHC, or ARM/CPHRM
  • AAAHC or JCAHO accreditation experience in an ambulatory/college health or outpatient setting
  • Experience with incident reporting systems, policy management tools, and QI/risk software.
