About The Position

The purpose of this position is to provide leadership assistance to senior and executive management, primarily within the following areas: Enterprise Risk Management, Model Risk Management, and Third-Party Risk Management.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Business-related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a Financial Institution within Risk Management, Accounting/Finance, or Operations, or equivalent experience
  • High proficiency with computers, excellent knowledge and use of Microsoft Office (word processing, spreadsheets, and database systems), Outlook, Teams.
  • Strong technical documentation, problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Banking / Finance related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in one or more of the areas noted in the Essential Tasks

Responsibilities

  • Distribute Risk Category Assessments (RCA), compile, analyze and review results with management
  • Distribute New Products, Services and Initiatives (NPSI), compile, and review results with product sponsor
  • Assist CRO in development of the MRM Program
  • Maintain Model and Tool Inventory
  • Facilitate Model Risk Assessments with Model Owners
  • Review and Evaluate Model Validation Reports with Management
  • Authenticate and triage vendor intake requests
  • Facilitate preliminary risk tiering and due diligence
  • Ensure vendor records are currently maintained in Vendor Management platform
  • Initiate contractual support (pre- and post-contract), including initial contracts and terms
  • Monitor contract non-renewal deadlines and termination dates
  • Assist CRO in preparation of ERM Committee and Board Risk Committee (BRC) meeting materials
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit to ensure Company-wide Findings Tracker reconciles to ERM
  • Collaborate with Internal audit to respond to basic audit or regulatory data requests
  • Other risk management projects as assigned by the CRO to ensure Guaranty Bank complies with federal banking regulations including, but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, Community Reinvestment Act, American with Disabilities Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the Federal Reserve’s “lettered” regulations, and risk management roles and responsibilities relating to each act.
  • Represent Guaranty Bank professionally, efficiently, and tactfully
  • Acknowledge and greet customers with a smile, call customers by their name, ask if they need any additional assistance, thank customer at end of every conversation—both internal and external
  • Ensure continuing development of professional relationships with management and colleagues
  • Answer and assist incoming callers with questions and requests, subsequently route callers, as appropriate
  • Receive incoming bank visitors and assist in directing them appropriately.
  • Work overtime when necessary
  • Follow bank policies and procedures
  • Assist other departments as needed
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned and requested
