About The Position

Brown & Brown is seeking a Risk Control Specialist to join their growing team. This position will be assigned Comp Alliance members in their territory and will be responsible for professional workers’ compensation risk management services. These services include annual loss control safety inspections, attendance at member safety committee meetings, and conducting routine training programs. The position also calls for producing occasional safety articles. The position calls for the ability to work independently with good time management skills, and possess a very good ability to communicate with professionals in the municipal and school district environment.

Requirements

Minimum education – High School Diploma
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Exceptional telephone and video demeanor
Ability to work independently
Ability to travel freely by car, including occasional overnight
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Nice To Haves

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a business or financial related discipline

Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining annual contact with Comp Alliance members, including safety inspections, safety committee attendance, and training.
Ability to communicate with members regarding their workplace injuries and safety programs.
Identify safety hazards and recommend improvements to correct them.
Utilize computer programs with fluency for reporting hazards and generating recommendations letter.
Understand how to decipher workers’ compensation injury reports.
Work well with members of the program team, including Underwriting, Claims and Marketing.
Perform training for member employees on a variety of topics, with professional use of PowerPoint presentation materials.
Knowledge of Microsoft Teams for routine virtual training sessions.
