Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence. As a Risk & Compliance Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with enterprise and business division ethical standards and supporting regulatory requirements across Aftermarket Parts. You will coordinate and execute compliance activities related to export controls, emissions and non-emissions regulations, country of origin requirements, product labeling, and regulatory documentation. In this role, you will review customer and order-related requests, evaluate applicable compliance controls, and determine appropriate actions, including the blocking or release of parts. You will also support audits and classification updates, follow established standard operating procedures, and collaborate across teams within and outside of PSLD to resolve compliance-related questions and support business needs.

Requirements

Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.
Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Nice To Haves

Experience or education in supply chain, logistics, or a related field, with an understanding of how products and materials move through a supply chain.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate information and determine appropriate next steps.
Previous exposure to import/export processes, customs, or international trade.
Ability to follow established processes and procedures while identifying opportunities for improvement.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and functions.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine reviews and assessments of business processes and controls to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Coordinate and execute compliance activities related to export controls, emissions and non-emissions requirements, and other regulatory requirements within Aftermarket Parts.
Review customer and business requests to determine applicable compliance requirements and appropriate next steps.
Monitor orders and regulatory overrides to ensure established compliance controls and processes are followed, including determining when parts should be blocked or released.
Support country-of-origin activities and evaluate product shipping information to ensure applicable requirements are met.
Complete Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) forms and other required compliance documentation.
Verify appropriate regulatory labeling for engines and related products.
Implement corrective action plans to address compliance opportunities and prevent similar issues from occurring in the future.
Maintain and update compliance controls, classifications, policies, procedures, and supporting documentation as requirements change.
Support compliance audits and other ongoing monitoring activities.
Develop and recommend improvements to processes and practices that help reduce compliance risks and improve efficiency.
Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs), while identifying questions or issues that require additional review.
Communicate and coordinate with teams within and outside of Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) to research and resolve compliance-related requests.
Provide responsive support to internal customers by analyzing requests, gathering relevant information, and determining the appropriate compliance path forward.
