About The Position

The Technology Leadership Program, Risk and Security Analyst track at Vanguard is a two-year rotational development experience designed for graduating students. Participants will complete three eight-month rotations across Risk & Security-focused teams, gaining exposure to areas such as cybersecurity operations, threat intelligence, risk management, and identity & access management. The program aims to increase ownership, responsibility, and leadership capability over time. The role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that impact Vanguard’s systems, operations, and clients, contributing to safeguarding the company against cybersecurity threats and operational risks. Through real-world assignments, collaboration, technical capstones, hackathons, and hands-on projects, participants will build analytical skills and the ability to collaborate, influence, and lead.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with a concentration in computer science, computer engineering, IST, IT, CIS, Security, Risk, Cybersecurity or related technical/engineering subject matter required
• Strong interest in cybersecurity, threat analysis, risk management, or fraud prevention
• Demonstrated leadership potential, initiative, and ability to take ownership of work
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred

Responsibilities

• Support efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity and operational risks
• Analyze potential threats, vulnerabilities, and risk scenarios across systems and processes
• Contribute to reporting, dashboards, or insights that support risk-informed decision-making
• Partner with security, technology, and business teams to strengthen controls and processes
• Gain hands-on experience in risk management, cybersecurity frameworks, and digital ethics
• Apply Agile methodologies to support risk and security initiatives in a dynamic environment
• Take ownership of projects and contribute to delivering meaningful outcomes
• Collaborate across teams, share insights, and drive solutions in a supportive environment
• Build a network with program managers, alumni, senior leaders, and peers
• Meet regularly with your department manager and program manager to receive personalized coaching and mentorship
