About The Position

The Risk Accounting and Advisory Services (RAAS) team focuses on clients' critical business needs, offering integrated solutions for internal controls, processes, accounting transactions, and more. The goal is to help clients enable and manage growth, leverage resources, and mitigate costs and risks. As an intern, you will have the flexibility to integrate people issues with business strategies while figuring out major business drivers. You will be instrumental in serving clients through risk services that have a direct impact on their overall business processes.

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented leader with problem solving, communication, critical thinker, organizational, technical and analytical skills.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, or related field.
  • Academic success (a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0).

Nice To Haves

  • On track to complete the requisite degree and supporting credits to sit for the CPA or CIA exam, with the goal of successfully obtaining the CIA or CPA license.

Responsibilities

  • Performing enterprise risk services for a variety of disciplines including: Internal Audit, SOX and JSOX Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management Framework Development, Quality Assurance Review, Process and Internal Control Improvement, Regulatory Compliance.
  • Providing reporting assistance and analysis for engagements: Documenting and testing client internal control environments, Identifying and analyzing potential risks and mitigation strategies, Preparing proposals and engagement letters.
  • Develop and implement risk-assessment models and methodologies.
  • Produce reports and presentations that outline findings, explaining risks and recommending changes.
  • Assist with client accounting support.
  • Research markets, tools and technology.
  • Technical accounting advice: Assisting clients with post-merger integration of accounting activities, Providing short-term temporary accounting support, Providing counsel on implementation of new technical accounting standards into the everyday practice of an organization.
  • Interacts with other practice areas within management consulting and other practice areas including but not limited to audit, tax, wealth management and consulting.
