About The Position

Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Risk Analytics Manager for its Johnston, Rhode Island location. This role involves developing, maintaining, and monitoring various fraud operations and data projects to support the Enterprise Fraud Team. The manager will develop and implement quantitative fraud analytics and decision logic, partnering with various teams including Model Governance, Fraud Operations, Technology, and product teams. A key aspect of the role is to partner with the fraud strategy team and cross-functional stakeholders to design, implement, and validate analytics-driven fraud controls, ensuring adherence to enterprise risk thresholds and regulatory requirements. The position also requires performing advanced quantitative analysis to provide guidance and intelligence on business priorities using advanced quantitative techniques and tools, and building partnerships with vendors and internal teams to modernize reporting and analytics. The manager will serve as an escalation point for team members and manage competing priorities with strict deliverables, including Ad-Hoc reporting.

Requirements

  • Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Project Management, Analytics, or a closely related field and 3 years of experience as a Senior Financial Analyst, Strategy Senior Consultant, or related position within the financial services industry.
  • Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in the stated fields and 5 years of the specified progressive, post-baccalaureate experience.
  • Must have 3 years of experience with performing independent root-cause analysis and quantitative problem solving using large, complex datasets.
  • Must have 3 years of experience with Microsoft excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must have 3 years of experience with combining and preparing data to support analytical and operational insights.
  • Must have 3 years of experience using pivot tables, complex formulas, and macros to structure data and generate performance reports.
  • Must have 3 years of experience creating charts, dashboards, and visual summaries to communicate analytical findings and trends to business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor Fraud Operations, Fraud Customer Contact, Fraud Strategy and Data Projects that support the Enterprise Fraud Team.
  • Develop and implement quantitative fraud analytics and decision logic embedded in operational systems, while partnering with Model Governance, Fraud Operations, Technology, and various product teams.
  • Partner with the fraud strategy team and cross-functional fraud stakeholders to design, implement, and validate analytics-driven fraud controls, ensuring adherence to enterprise risk thresholds and regulatory requirements.
  • Collect and analyze information to create solutions for business problems in the area of fraud and risk mitigation, ensuring the ongoing strength and compliance of the Bank’s operations.
  • Perform advanced quantitative analysis to provide guidance and intelligence on business priorities to support enterprise fraud organization using advanced quantitative techniques and tools.
  • Build partnerships with vendors, various product teams, fraud operations and technology teams to effectively create and modernize reporting and analytics.
  • Serve as an escalation point for team members and help articulate the higher-level vision and requirements.
  • Manage and prioritize competing priorities with strict deliverables, including Ad-Hoc reporting for key stakeholders.
