About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Risk Analytics Analyst for a 6+ month contract opportunity with a Global Financial Institution in Minneapolis, MN. This role involves participating in moderately complex initiatives to identify process improvements within Risk Analytics. The position requires advanced Excel skills and a strong background in finance or accounting, with specific experience in securities, investment accounting, and bond instruments. Experience with regression testing is also desired.

Requirements

2+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
A minimum of 1+ years of regression testing experience.
Minimum 2+ years advanced finance or accounting experience, with exposure to securities accounting, investment accounting, bond instruments, calculation methodologies and a solid understanding of bonds.
A minimum of 2+ years of Advanced Excel Skills, must demonstrate experience with filtering and sorting, grouping, pivot tables, data import and parsing, and using features like Text to Columns.
Must be able to work on-site a minimum of 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements within Risk Analytics.
Review and analyze basic or tactical Risk Analytics assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives.
Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations.
Exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
