About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Risk Analytics Consultant for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. The role will support Basel III Capital and Risk initiatives, focusing on data management, data sourcing, data mapping, data quality analysis, and testing activities for regulatory capital and risk reporting. The consultant will collaborate with various teams to ensure critical Basel III data is accurately sourced, validated, transformed, tested, and delivered to downstream risk and capital calculation platforms.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in data analysis, data management, data mapping, testing, or business analysis within Risk, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, or Financial Services
• Experience supporting regulatory, risk, capital, or enterprise data initiatives
• Advanced Excel skills including complex formulas, functions, pivot tables, data analysis, and reconciliation
• Proficiency with SQL for data validation, reconciliation, joins, and aggregations
• Proficiency with Python for data manipulation, analysis, and execution of data validation/testing activities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting Basel III, regulatory capital, or risk reporting programs
• Experience with source-to-target mapping, data lineage, and data governance practices
• Experience executing integration testing, UAT, and reconciliation testing for data initiatives
• Experience working within large financial institutions and highly regulated environments

Responsibilities

• Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliver insight and decision strategies within analytics and reporting
• Contribute to large-scale planning related to Risk Analytics deliverables
• Review and analyze moderately complex data aggregation, forecasting, reporting, and programming models
• Resolve data, production, and business modeling issues to meet Risk Analytics deliverables
• Collaborate with peers, experienced managers, compliance, and technology to resolve modeling, forecasting, and production issues
• Partner with cross-enterprise risk analysts in the development of common modeling strategies
