About The Position

The Risk Analyst I position is located in Lubbock, TX with a salary that is negotiable depending upon experience. This position requires knowledge in loan structuring of agribusiness credits, loan participation/syndications and the ability to work with management and staff to ensure prudent credit administration practices are followed. AgTexas, at its sole discretion, may offer this position with a different title based upon the qualifications of the candidate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, agricultural business/economics, business administration, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in credit administration.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills required, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Must demonstrate sound judgment and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer operations is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Administers Association-wide credit administration tracker which assists in compliance with Association procedures (underwriting standards, etc.) as well as performance on loan covenants.
  • Queries Association electronic loan file repository for items that satisfy outstanding credit administration covenants.
  • Reviews relevant loan files and documents to interpret ongoing credit administration requirements. Works with appropriate staff to cure any errors or conflicts with Association policy and procedure or regulatory requirements.
  • Assists Management in identifying trends and patterns that indicate a breakdown in policy and procedure or opportunities to refine processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assists Credit and Lending and other relevant staff with appropriate application of Association policy and procedure as well as relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Assists Management with development of new initiatives, policies, or procedures.
  • Assists Credit and Lending staff with the administration of the Association's distressed loan program.
  • Prepares reports utilized by Executive Management and the Association's board.
