About The Position

This role will sit in the Advisory team at Validus, and will be responsible for working with clients to design and implement hedging strategies across various markets and asset classes (FX, rates, commodities, equities). The role involves providing support to the Engagement Manager, assisting in analytical testing of solutions, and helping associates analyze client information and prepare periodic performance reports. A key aspect of the role is developing relationships with high-value clients, offering strategic consultancy, innovative project work, proactive client service, and technology platform presentations. Additionally, the position requires identifying up-sell and cross-sell opportunities, assisting in business development, staying updated on industry developments, and adhering to Financial Conduct Authority rules and regulations, as well as internal policies.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years' professional experience, preferably within management consulting, capital markets, investment banking, or Private Equity / Hedge Funds.
  • Relevant undergraduate degree.
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with an extremely high attention to detail and client-centric approach
  • Understanding of risk management in financial markets
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, exposure to Bloomberg
  • Time management/ability to perform under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Working with clients to design and implement hedging strategies across various markets and asset classes (FX, rates, commodities, equities).
  • Provide support to the Engagement Manager.
  • Assist in analytical testing of solutions.
  • Assist associates in analyzing client information and preparing periodic performance reports.
  • Developing relationships with a small number of high-value clients receiving the Validus retainer service, including strategic consultancy services, innovative project work, proactive client service, and presentation of technology platform.
  • Identifying up-sell and cross-sell opportunities with existing clients and assisting in the business development process.
  • Keep up to date with academic, technical and industry developments.
  • Adhere to Financial Conduct Authority Rules and Regulations.
  • Adhere to all internal policies and procedures.
