About The Position

Brunswick is a global marine leader committed to challenging conventions and innovating next-generation technologies that transform experiences on the water and beyond. This position is responsible for the installation of engines on boats, as well as troubleshooting, canvas, rework, and electronics in the south plant rigging area. The role requires a commitment beyond the standard work schedule and encourages safe behavior and 5S housekeeping activities. The position will also work with other functional parts of the QA/Rig group in both plants, North and South, requiring versatility to move to areas with a lack of rig boats.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Ability to utilize basic tools, have mechanical aptitude
Pass Mercury online training requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills including ability to challenge team members/peers appropriately to follow standards.
Exhibits a willingness to help others, eagerness to learn.
Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
Experience in rigging or boat building or equivalent
Mechanical skills

Responsibilities

Install engines, missing parts, order changes, etc on boats.
Troubleshoot and repair issues on boats as well as rework as required.
Actively participate in A3, 5S+1 activities.
Daily cleanup and checklist.
Team participation on projects.
Generation of improvement ideas.
Identify potential A3 projects.
Work with engineering and quality to define and implement quality requirements.
Cross train into other functions within the QA/Rig group (Order changes, finish inspection, shrink, seats and motors, test tank, etc.).
Utilize the Engineering Liaison as necessary to address design, drawings, etc.
Commitment beyond standard work schedule.
Work with Rig Lead to ensure that quality criteria is followed and quality checks are completed appropriately using standardized work, job instruction (JI), and quality criteria.
Encourage safe behavior and 5S housekeeping activities.
Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
Work as necessary with other functional parts of the QA/Rig group in both plants, North and South.
Move to the work; cannot be tied to a single functional job (rigging) and needs to be versatile and move when there is a lack of rig boats.
