About The Position

The Rigging Foreman leads and safely executes machinery moving and rigging projects, with a focus on CNC and industrial equipment relocations and installations. This position provides hands-on supervision for crews of 2–6 employees, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards, customer requirements, and project schedules. Serving as the on-site leader, the Foreman plans daily job activities, coordinates crews and equipment, and actively participates in rigging operations. Success in this role requires strong judgment, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills, along with a consistent commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as Foreman in machinery moving, rigging, or industrial equipment relocation
  • Prior experience in a working foreman, lead, or general foreman role
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise crews, plan daily work, and manage job execution
  • Strong hands-on experience relocating CNC machines, manual machines, presses, press brakes and other precision industrial equipment
  • Experience working with forklifts, Versa-Lifts, Hydraulic gantries, and other rigging equipment, including setup, load balancing, and capacity considerations
  • Crane flagging and signaling experience required (this is not a crane operator position)
  • Ability to maintain accurate job documentation and clearly communicate required information.
  • The ability to travel if needed
  • You must possess a valid driver’s license and meet company insurability requirements
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of rigging principles and industrial machinery
  • Knowledge of weight distribution, centers of gravity, floor loading, and machine protection
  • Ability to read and interpret basic layouts, drawings, and site conditions
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability in field conditions
  • Physically capable of performing rigging work, including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods

Responsibilities

  • Lead and enforce all job-site safety practices in accordance with company and client requirements
  • Conduct daily Pre-Task Plan (PTP) and ensure hazards are identified and mitigated
  • Ensure proper PPE usage and safe work practices across the crew
  • Maintain authority to stop work when unsafe conditions exist
  • Supervise and direct 2–6 person crews, assigning daily tasks and responsibilities
  • Lead by example through professionalism, strong work ethic, and safety awareness
  • Maintain productivity while meeting safety, quality, and schedule expectations
  • Plan daily onsite job activities including crew assignments, equipment selection, and work sequencing
  • Direct machinery moves including loading, unloading, positioning, setting, and alignment
  • Oversee and assist with the safe operation of forklifts, machinery skates, hydraulic and mechanical jacks, gantries, and related rigging equipment
  • Ensure proper rigging techniques, load control, and securement during transport
  • Adapt to changing site conditions or scope changes as required
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for customers and internal teams
  • Communicate job progress, changes, or issues with operations and dispatch and Salesmen.
  • Ensure all required paperwork, work orders, and daily documentation are completed accurately and on time
  • Promptly report incidents, near-misses, equipment issues, or policy concerns
