About The Position
The rigging foreman position is responsible for all rigging activities that take place on assigned job site. This role involves managing rigging crew activities, developing and implementing plans aligned with customer and sales direction, and directing the workforce to meet operational goals in terms of volume, cost, quality, safety, and schedule. The foreman will directly supervise and work with machinery moving crews, providing hands-on supervision and utilizing equipment like forklifts, skates, and jacks for machinery movement. A key aspect of the role includes training and instructing crews on best practices and safety procedures, collaborating with safety personnel on training and incident investigations, and building strong customer and employee relationships through excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The foreman will also manage job site projects by organizing all project information and consistently demonstrate professional conduct representative of MEI's corporate mission, vision, and values. The position requires travel to customer job sites to work and direct activities.
Requirements
- HS diploma or equivalent necessary.
- Minimum ten (10) years proven machinery moving foreman experience or comparable field preferably within machinery moving industry.
- Excellent interpersonal, supervisory and project management skills.
- Highly self directed and motivated.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must have own hand tools.
- Must have extensive experience moving machinery with forklift, skating, leveling and anchoring of machines.
- Must be able to work along aside field technician in assembly and erecting of machine tools.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for all job site management activities of the rigging crew.
- Develops, plans and implements crew and alignment with customer and salesmen with direction of job.
- Directs workforce to meet operational goals in terms of volume, cost, quality, safety and schedule.
- Directly supervises and works with one or more machinery moving crews.
- Hands on supervisory role with the ability to effectively move machinery utilizing forklifts, skates and jacks (not cranes).
- Develop, train and instruct machinery moving crews in best known rigging operation practices and procedures including safety.
- Work closely with safety personnel in coordinating safety training, accident and injury investigations and reporting and equipment or property damage incidents investigations and reporting.
- Build customer and employee relationships with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Develop highly effective relationships with customers, business partners, crating operations management and support staff.
- Effectively manage job site projects by organizing all project information to ensure they are accurate and contain all necessary information.
- Consistently demonstrates professional conduct representative of MEI corporate mission, vision and values.
- Must be able to drive to customer job sites and work and direct all activates on customer job sites.
