Perform a variety of functions in the assembly of boats.
Requirements
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
Must be able to use power tools and related assembly equipment.
Must be able to read and understand instructions in assembly operations.
Must be knowledgeable of safety procedures and requirements.
Ability to understand spoken instructions with regard to job training and safety concerns.
Ability to speak conversational English.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed finishing of all products.
Ability to deal with changes related to equipment use and productivity.
Responsibilities
Obtain, review and follow instructions for rigging of each boat.
Perform drilling operations.
Use caulk gun to create water tight seals.
Assemble and install parts and components including: decks to hulls, windshields, dashes, trim, side moldings, fins, rudders, gas tanks, batteries, wiring, steering, control, engine setting, aligning, mounting and component hookups.
Vacuum carpets, install seat cushions and use appropriate cleaners on upholstery, deck and dashes of boat.
Apply appropriate decals to boats.
Use a variety of equipment and materials such as small hand tools, screw gun, glue, knives, hoist, jigs, fixtures, and fasteners in assembly operations.
Push deck and hull approximately 100 feet to next work station.
Ensure quality in assembly operations.
Move material to and from workstations and maintain clean and orderly work station.
