About The Position

Seeking a working foreman to lead a rigging and machinery-moving crew. You'll be on job sites every day - running the crew, loading, lifting, moving, and setting heavy equipment. Our work is primarily in the local and regional area - not the type of long-term, out-of-state travel done by large contractors. You'll travel to different customer sites as needed, mostly doing day-work and may include overnight travel stay(s) to the site.

Requirements

• 1–3 years rigging, machinery moving, or machinery installation experience
• 2+ years leading a crew or working as a foreman in rigging, machinery moving or machinery installation
• Able to read simple drawings and lift plans
• Willing to travel, work overtime, and weekends when needed
• Requires successful background, MVR and drug screening
• Must currently hold a valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew on machinery-moving, rigging, and installation jobs
• Work hands-on with forklifts, cranes, skates, jacks, and rigging gear
• Plan lifts, give direction, and make sure work is done safely
• Load, move, set, and align machines and equipment
• Read and follow lift plans, drawings, and layouts
• Fill out basic job paperwork and talk with customers as needed
• Travel to different job sites when required
