About The Position

Pinnergy is a diversified energy services company with a broad and comprehensive service offering to customers throughout Texas and Louisiana and is one of the largest independent oilfield service companies in its industry. Pinnergy has an immediate opening for a Rig Mechanic in its Midland, TX location. This position will be responsible for servicing and repairing various oilfield company equipment. Will perform scheduled preventative maintenance, as well as non-scheduled maintenance repairs.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 plus years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
2 years working with hydraulics.
2 years working as rig mechanic.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must always work in a safe and efficient manner.
Must have valid Driver’s License.
Must have own tools and toolbox.
Must be willing to work required 12-hour shifts.

Nice To Haves

Welding experience a plus
CDL is not required but a plus.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with mechanical equipment and apply a resolution in a timely manner.
Repair, replace, dismantle, and inspect defective equipment such as pumps, valves, hydraulic systems, diesel engines, transmissions, generators, and drilling auxiliary equipment.
Coordinate purchasing with appropriate personnel and vendors to help achieve timely repair of equipment.
Assist operations as needed.
Operate and maintain facility equipment with minimal guidance or assistance as directed by and in coordination with the Field and Production Manager.
Perform duties of a Mechanical Technician in the operation of the combined equipment.
Maintain equipment by tightening fittings, replacing valve packing, gaskets, valves, and gauges. Clean, replace, oil, and lubricate other component parts and equipment as required.
Perform complete overhauls of valves, pumps, compressors, and other common equipment.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
