About The Position

A RIE Infant Classrooms serves children 3 months of age to 18 months of age. As an Assistant RIE Teacher in the Infant classrooms, you will be a 1 of 4 compassionate, patient guides for 9 infants ages 3 months to 18 months of age; a receptive, courteous, and graceful assistant to the RIE Lead teacher; and a responsive community builder for the families in your classroom community. As a Assistant RIE teacher, you will be an ambassador of Ambrosia Montessori. You will learn the expectations of the RIE approach and the RIE environment. Ultimately, you will be a model of kindness, respect, and care for the team of teachers with whom you will work, the children and the families that will join our program; and for all people that enter our building. The assistant teacher/aide is responsible for supporting the learning of each child with which you work under the direction of the lead teacher. Additionally, you will be helping children through transitions, maintaining supplies for the classroom, and working as a team member across classrooms. The person in this role should see children as people equally deserving of respect, have compassion for families and be willing to problem solve with, as well as be willing to support and care for your fellow staff. Responsibilities
