About The Position

Magic Springs Theme & Water Park is seeking a dedicated Ride Maintenance Technician to perform skilled work within our maintenance department. This is a full-time, year-round opportunity that offers competitive benefits and the chance to make a lasting impact on the guest experience. Ideal candidates will have working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electricity.

Requirements

  • Must have basic knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electricity.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently or with a team, and take initiative.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions while performing physical tasks.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays during the park’s operating season.
  • Must be able to walk the park grounds regularly in varying weather conditions for up to 8 hours a shift.
  • Requires frequent kneeling, bending, and reaching above the shoulders.
  • Requires frequent lifting and carrying of up to 30 pounds.
  • Requires occasional carrying of up to 100 pounds using a two-wheel hand truck or similar assistive device.
  • Requires occasional pushing and pulling.
  • Requires manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, hand/eye coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech.
  • Requires frequent exposure to moderate to high noise levels.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the highest standards of safety on all attractions and rides.
  • Perform daily safety checks on park attractions and rides and ensure repairs are completed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on rides, equipment and facilities ensuring complete compliance of the manufacturer’s specifications and park’s standards.
  • Respond to all maintenance-related radio calls in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Communicate when equipment failures result in attraction downtime or closures.
  • Work with team members to ensure complete compliance with the manufacturer’s specifications and park’s standards.
  • Maintain all appropriate documentation.
  • Communicate with the Ride Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Manager any hazards that arise to ensure the safe completion of repairs.
  • Support seasonal preparation and shutdown activities.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and light equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Collaborate with manager to perform other duties as assigned.
  • Follow all safety procedures, OSHA standards, and company policies.
