Remote Rheumatology Utilization Reviewer (Oregon Licensed) - 1099 Contractor
About The Position
Medical Review Institute of America (MRIoA) is seeking Board-Certified physicians in Rheumatology to conduct independent Utilization Reviews. This is a flexible, fully remote 1099 contractor opportunity requiring approximately 1–2 hours per week, with no minimum commitment. Reviewers may work remotely from anywhere in the United States; under HIPAA regulations, patient records cannot leave the US. The role is covered under MRIoA’s Errors and Omissions policy. Workers must adhere to applicable HIPAA regulations and company policies and procedures regarding confidentiality, privacy, and security of sensitive health information. Daytime availability is required for peer-to-peer conversations.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO).
- Current Oregon medical license.
- Current Board Certification in Rheumatology.
- At least 5 years of clinical experience; residency is included in the experience requirement.
- Daytime availability for peer-to-peer conversations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent Utilization Reviews.
- Participate in peer-to-peer conversations during daytime availability.
