About The Position
Qorvo's Internship Program is designed for college students currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program. Qorvo offers real work experience, exposure to upper management, and the opportunity to pursue full-time opportunities, as available. Qorvo’s RFIC Design Engineering Internships are offered in our High Performance Analog business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering with focus on RF/mmW IC design
- Minimum GPA of 3.3
- RF/mmW circuit design coursework and/or experience
- Software exposure: ADS, Cadence, HFSS, EMX
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Self-Starter with good communication skills
- Effective organization skills for systematic planning and scheduling
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information
- Detail oriented to ensure design and delivery of high yielding products
- Ability to enjoy working in fast paced work environment
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to RF measurement equipment such as spectrum analyzers and network analyzers preferred
Responsibilities
- Contributing to the design of multiple functional blocks including millimeter-wave (mmW) LNAs, PAs, VCOs, mixers, Phase Shifters, Attenuators, Switches, Supporting Analog and Interface circuitry in state of the art CMOS, BiCMOS, and RFSOI technologies
- Active device and electromagnetic modeling for high-frequency designs
- Meeting performance requirements while also considering size, cost, footprint, power dissipation and schedule
- Working as a member of a team to contribute design schematics, simulations, and real lab data
- Working with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters to compare simulated data to real lab data
