RFC Training Lead - Day Shift

About The Position

As an RFC Lead, you will oversee various functions of the daily operation and support both Supervisors and Managers in managing labor and ensuring timely execution. You will drive the team to continuously improve in safety, quality, and performance. This role reports to the RFC Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • Warehouse leadership experience, or other related experience preferred.
  • Able to sit, stand, bend, twist, and turn body as needed for 8-10 hours per day.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Physically able to safely operate forklifts in the RFC, including sitdown, standup, and various lengths of pallet jacks.
  • Able to read and write legibly, demonstrate basic math skills, and communicate effectively.
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Supports a safety culture through demonstrative leadership and ownership in keeping our employees and partners safe in all activities.
  • Coordinates the flow of work within the warehouse and acts as liaison between departments and external partners and customers.
  • Leads a subset team of a department to ensure that performance goals and/or customer commitments are met or exceeded.
  • Lead and provide oversight to Warehouse Associates in the proper execution of all established quality, safety and sanitation practices of warehouse operations.
  • Provide direction to RFC hourly employees to ensure that performance, accuracy, and attendance requirements are being met or exceeded.
  • Holds self and team accountable on general sanitation and food safety practices.
  • Train new hires in various job functions and assist in new hire orientation as needed.
  • Within the shift of the operational day, extract and analyze data and make decisions supported by: System tools to trigger work assignments across various warehouse departments.
  • Usage of system tools and spreadsheets supporting Labor Plan.
  • Deadlines, deliverables, and commitments to our customer.
  • Actively communicate with site leadership and support those roles in accomplishing operational goals.
  • Helps prepare and attend daily Shift Start-Up Meetings to share daily goals with the team.
  • Post and monitor performance reports, engage with employees on performance results each day/week.
  • Accountable to development and attainment of various Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within the assigned team of hourly employees.
