About The Position

At Honeywell Aerospace, the RF Test Technician Level 3 performs operational testing on moderately complex RF and microwave production components. The role supports production and engineering teams by helping ensure products function as intended and meet delivery schedules and customer requirements. This is an on-site position at the Woburn, Massachusetts location, with a day shift starting at 6:30 a.m. The technician determines compliance with test specifications using schematics, drawings, standard work, and block diagrams. Work includes setup, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of instruments, RF and DC circuits, assemblies, components, and related systems and equipment. The position involves medium-complexity hardware, selecting and setting up specialized test equipment, and potentially guiding entry-level production test technicians and support workers. The position requires RF tuning and testing, including manual tuning of RF devices to specified parameters from 1 to 28 GHz, along with competency measuring medium- to high-complexity hardware. The technician works with RF test and measurement techniques, including power, S-parameters, and noise figure, and may work with RF hardware design and integration, measurement-system programming, automation, and mechanical test fixtures. Physical requirements include handling small tools and controls, reaching, sitting and viewing through a microscope at times, prolonged standing or walking, repeated movements, and occasionally lifting items weighing 5 to 10 pounds. Items weighing 30 pounds or more must be moved with automation or a second person. Honeywell Aerospace develops products and services for commercial aviation, defense, and space. The company describes its work as contributing to aviation safety, efficiency, and emerging autonomous and supersonic platforms. The role offers a benefits package that includes employer-subsidized insurance, disability coverage, retirement and savings benefits, educational assistance, parental leave, paid holidays, and paid time off.
