About The Position

Raytheon is seeking a successful candidate to perform any combination of the following tasks in support of the evaluation/rework/repair of various product lines including (but not limited to) RF electronics, electronics assemblies, high-power distribution assemblies, electromechanical assemblies, cable/harness assemblies, electronics rack-mount systems/chassis, circuit card assemblies, and other similar-complexity assemblies. This is a 3rd Shift Onsite position.

Requirements

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years as an engineering technician with background in electrical design support and troubleshooting of systems and board level designs.
  • Experience testing or troubleshooting electronic assemblies at the component level and experience troubleshooting equipment including collaborative automation, mechanical and/or electrical assemblies.
  • Electrical/electronic evaluation/troubleshooting experience of test equipment and product testing and experience with use of test and evaluation measurement equipment, including (but not limited to): DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, RF equipment, etc.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Power point, etc.)
  • CMES/SAP experience
  • Electrical Test Technical degree
  • Experience in RF, troubleshooting
  • DoD experience.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot STE including but not limited to Automation assemblies, electrical and RF pathways, mechanical and pneumatic assemblies.
  • Perform troubleshooting of Power Supplies, O-scopes, Signal Generators, Power Analyzers, etc.
  • Evaluate failed electrical assemblies, products, components, and software – using test and measurement equipment to determine the root cause of failure down to the component level – with strong emphasis on evaluation hands-on experience.
  • Electronic troubleshooting through technical experience and knowledge – NOT through the use of pre-written step-by-step procedures
  • Strong sense of ownership and self-driven to meet or exceed deliverable expectations.
  • Work with senior Electrical Engineering, test technicians, and product Quality Assurance towards evaluating, repairing, and moving failed assemblies through established Repair & Return processes.
  • Read and interpret Assembly Drawings and Schematics
  • Maintain control of all Electro-static Sensitive Device (ESD) precautions and processes – ensuring full compliance to established ESD processes.
  • Support the culture of Continuous Process Improvements (CPI) Projects.
