About The Position

The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is seeking a qualified RF/Radar Systems Engineer for its Machine Intelligence and Spectrum Technologies (MIST) Division in Dayton, Ohio. This role involves developing radar modes for state-of-the-art sensors, requiring experience in radar mode development and signals analysis. GTRI's MIST Division provides expertise in machine intelligence and the radio frequency spectrum for national defense, developing solutions through physics-based modeling, prototype development, and testing. The Advanced Concepts Laboratory (ACL) focuses on national security challenges across various domains including bio, chemical, RF, and optical sensors, materials science, electromagnetic theory, electronic warfare, and threat analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of RF/Radar system experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship.

Nice To Haves

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance.
  • Graduate degree in Math, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Programming experience with MATLAB, Python, or C++.
  • Experience with RF-SOC/GNU Radio.
  • Electronic Warfare experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct refined RF subsystem and system design studies, testing plans, and analysis of requirements into detailed performance design criteria in conjunction with the technical lead.
  • Design and build templates to assist SMEs in providing critical system information.
  • Conduct product or system design synthesis translating requirements into physical architectures for RF subsystems and systems of low complexity.
  • Define/refine internal and external interfaces for RF subsystems and systems.
  • Develop technical reports and diagrams detailing design description or performance as defined by requirements.
