The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is seeking a Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Engineer for the Intelligence Analysis Branch (IAB)/Signals and Systems Division (SASD) of the Advanced Concepts Laboratory (ACL). The IAB conducts all-domain intelligence analysis for the U.S. national security community, while the SASD focuses on high-impact technical analysis for U.S. Government projects. The ACL develops tailored solutions for national security challenges using physics- and effects-based modeling, augmented with prototype development and testing. The M&S Engineer will work closely with research, development, and testing teams to integrate simulation modeling with data analytics to optimize system designs. This role involves constructing, verifying, and validating computer simulation models, performing simulation experiments, providing solutions to stakeholders, and improving systems and processes. The engineer should be familiar with important M&S concepts, techniques (e.g., discrete event simulation, continuous simulation, agent-based modeling), and a wide range of M&S tools and frameworks. At higher levels, the role includes guiding M&S activities, eliciting requirements, and ensuring models and simulations adhere to best practices and standards for future flexibility.
