About The Position

Qualcomm Technologies Incorporated (QTI) is seeking to add a talented engineer to the RFMS Product Development (PDTE) team. The RFMS Mixed‑Signal PDTE team is responsible for Pre-silicon DFT Planning, post‑silicon mixed‑signal IP validation, SoC lab bring‑up, characterization, and production enablement. This role focuses on the bring‑up, development, and validation of modem and RF mixed‑signal blocks, ensuring end‑to‑end functionality of the RF transceiver chain. The position is highly hands‑on and lab‑focused, with strong emphasis on debug, automation, data analysis, and test hardware/software development. We are looking for individuals with a passion for lab work, a solid understanding of mixed‑signal systems, and strong scripting and data‑analysis skills, including experience leveraging modern AI‑assisted tools.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of RF and mixed‑signal block architectures and measurement methodologies
  • Hands‑on experience with common lab equipment such as: Spectrum analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Logic analyzers
  • Programming and scripting experience for data analysis and tool development: Python, C#, AI‑assisted tools
  • Experience with statistical data analysis, including Designing experiments, Bias reduction, Predictive analysis from limited sample sets
  • Knowledge of mixed‑signal or analog PCB design and debug
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with AI tools, including agentic AI workflows
  • Background in silicon bring‑up, lab automation, and algorithm / DSP development
  • Hands‑on experience with advanced lab equipment, such as: High‑speed digitizers, High‑speed serial data analyzer, JTAG debuggers
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Python, C#, Embedded systems development
  • Master’s degree in Electrical / computer engineering, Information Systems, or related field (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Post‑silicon bring‑up, validation, and characterization of mixed‑signal and RF IP
  • Design and execute experiments to characterize performance, remove bias, and extrapolate sample data to broader populations
  • Development of test hardware and software to support characterization and production enablement
  • Creation and maintenance of lab automation frameworks using Python, C#, and AI‑assisted tools
  • Support production IP qualification, yield analysis, and manufacturing enablement
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including design, validation, and manufacturing
