About The Position

Join Indotronix as an RF Microwave Design Engineer 2 and play a pivotal role in developing advanced RF systems for cutting-edge USMC and Navy aerospace programs. Based onsite at a Navy development facility in Camarillo, CA, you will work alongside top-tier engineers to design, test, and optimize RF components for mission-critical defense applications. This hands-on position offers the opportunity to expand your expertise in RF and Electronic Warfare systems while supporting high-impact military projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Science; 1 year with a Master’s; recent PhD graduates considered
  • U.S. Citizenship and active Secret clearance required
  • Hands-on experience with RF systems in aerospace, defense, or similar environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication; team-oriented and collaborative
  • Onsite presence required (not a remote/telework position)

Nice To Haves

  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • Proficiency with RF component selection, system development, and RF test equipment
  • Experience mitigating co-site RF interference
  • Familiarity with Electromagnetic Warfare principles and RF safety in aircraft
  • Knowledge of military standards and experience integrating RF systems with military aircraft
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)

Responsibilities

  • Develop new RF system designs following USMC operational scenarios and DoDAF architecture frameworks
  • Review and decompose system requirements focused on RF performance
  • Research and recommend COTS or vendor-developed RF components, considering SWAP and aircraft integration
  • Evaluate antenna performance and support component down-selection
  • Assist with building and operating RF spread benches for component testing; analyze and summarize results
  • Support system and prototype chamber testing, including compliance with MIL-STD-461 (EMI) and MIL-STD-464 (EMC)
  • Generate RF block diagrams, maintain Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), and conduct ATPs on RF components
  • Troubleshoot RF system issues and investigate safety concerns
  • Collaborate with Navy competencies for HERO, HERF, HERP analyses and RF threat technique evaluations
  • Contribute to configuration management and support test evaluations in lab and flight test environments
