About The Position

Analog Devices (ADI) is seeking a product engineer to support the development of RF/microwave designs for applications in Communications, Test & Measurement Instrumentation, Industrial, and Aerospace and Defense. This role offers the opportunity to work with and learn from leading RF and microwave professionals. The RF/Microwave Amplifier MMIC Design Group is looking for an Amplifier MMIC Design Engineer to develop world-class RF/Microwave/Millimeter-wave GaAs and GaN LNA/Driver Amplifier/Power Amplifier MMICs.

Requirements

  • Experience with GaAs and/or GaN semiconductor technologies, MMIC design and layout, electro-magnetic simulation, thermal analysis and industry standard EDA tools like ADS and Momentum/RFPro/Sonnet.
  • BSEE/MSEE/PhD degree in EE with background in RF/microwave engineering, with a minimum of 0-3 years of experience. Ph.D. in relevant areas could be counted towards industry experience depending on the thesis.
  • Must be a US citizen or green card holder
  • Proficiency with EDA tools: Cadence, ADS, AWR, Ansys HFSS, Sonnet, Momentum, RFPro etc.
  • Knowledge of GaAs and/or GaN device physics and modeling
  • Microwave/millimeter-wave circuit/system design experience
  • Proficiency with RF/microwave test equipment and measurement techniques, e.g. spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, power meters, etc.
  • Must have excellent teamwork and communications skills

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of PA linearization and efficiency enhancement is a plus
