About The Position

The Effector RF Design Department is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to help develop complex radio frequency (RF) systems, subsystems, and components, including antennas, RF circuit card assemblies, radomes, and RF test equipment. The position is suited to an individual with educational experience and professional interest in applying technical mechanical standards, principles, concepts, and techniques. The successful candidate works as part of a multidisciplinary team, applies engineering tools and processes, and brings a self-motivated, positive, problem-solving approach and willingness to learn. This onsite position is located in Tucson, Arizona. An active and transferable U.S. government security clearance is required before the start date, and U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for a clearance. Candidates must be able to obtain an interim clearance before starting and may need to obtain special program access after starting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) field and at least one year of prior relevant experience, typically.
  • Experience performing design and analysis for packaging RF products—such as circuit card assemblies, antennas, radomes, RF test equipment, harnesses, and interconnects—throughout the product life cycle, including use of 3D CAD software.
  • Experience creating Technical Data Packages (TDPs) using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to obtain an interim U.S. government-issued security clearance before the start date and special program access after starting.
  • U.S. citizenship; an active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is required prior to the start date.
