About The Position

Vanteon is actively seeking applicants for multiple RF Hardware Engineer roles. The specific level/title will depend on the applicant's experience. In general, this role is responsible for developing high-speed digital, RF, and Microwave circuit designs and analyzing and simulating wireless communication systems (typically in the 130 MHz to 6 GHz frequency bands). Due to the nature of this role, you must be willing and able to be on-site at Vanteon's Western NY facility to be successful.

Requirements

Digital communications and RF systems experience, including link margin/system gain analysis.
Microstrip / Stripline design.
Experience with RF, microwave, or analog circuit design software
Understanding and experience with high-speed PCB design and EMC compliance issues
Experience with high-pitch count device schematic designs and layout (BGAs, etc.)
Experience designing VHF/UHF/microwave filters, amplifiers, oscillators, and mixers
Experience using signal generators, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
Understanding of nonlinear circuits, measurements, and simulation techniques.
Extensive experience with Altium EDA tools
Design for Testability and Manufacturing
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Project leadership skills
Highly motivated, well-organized self-starter
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (MS Preferred)
10 years of hardware design experience, with 5+ years in RF design and development
Must be able to work with ITAR and CUI data.
