This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems. HII - Mission Technologies has an opportunity for an RF Engineering Intern to support various government projects. This role offers hands‑on experience with RF technologies, lab equipment, and engineering processes, providing an opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real‑world challenges. This will be an onsite position located in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Requirements

  • LEVEL 3: High School Diploma or equivalent + Must be working towards a Bachelor's degree with between 40% and 60% of the required credits completed.
  • LEVEL 4 - High School Diploma or equivalent + Must be working towards a Bachelor's degree with more than 60% of the required credits completed.
  • Must be pursuing an engineering or similar degree
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to meaningful, real‑world projects under the guidance of a mentor and senior leadership.
  • Support the Engineering team in one or more specialties, including electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil, naval, and/or chemical engineering
  • Assist with troubleshooting technical issues
  • Provide technical support to engineering staff
  • Help with general engineering tasks as assigned to gain hands‑on, practical experience
