About The Position

The RF Engineer will support the space program located in Littleton/Waterton, Colorado. This position requires US Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer related information. Must have an active Top-Secret clearance. Will give preference to candidates with a TS/SCI Poly clearance but will entertain candidates who only hold a TS clearance and can obtain and maintain SCI and Poly. If the selected candidate holds only a Top-Secret clearance, they will have to get Program Security approval prior to moving forward. All Bastion employees must be able to pass a national agency check and some positions require clearance and will require an extensive background verification/check process. All Bastion employees must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and are required to participate in periodic random drug and alcohol screenings. Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task. Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time) and may require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time). Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.

Requirements

Must have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or STEM related field.
Must have 6+ years of recent and related work experience.
Must have an active Top-Secret clearance.
Ability to develop and analyze technical requirements and allocate functions down to satellite subsystems and/or components.
Must have MATLAB or other coding experience.
Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS.
Must be team players with strong work ethics and must be culture oriented.
Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers.
Able to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives.
Must be organized with good time management skills and must be able to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.

Nice To Haves

TS/SCI Poly clearance (preference given, but will entertain candidates who only hold a TS clearance and can obtain and maintain SCI and Poly).
Demonstrated ability to participate in cross functional teams and communicate and coordinate work as one team with common goals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with management and peers.
Experience defining end-to-end performance and functionality of RF payloads and/or subsystems, consistent with mission needs and CONOPS.
Proficiency with the development of specifications and interface definitions for digitally processed RF payloads.
Experience with defining external interfaces for antennas, active/passive RF components, receivers/transmitters, and digital processors.
Experience with certifying and selling off an RF payload or subsystem to the customer.
Proven ability to execute major milestone reviews (e.g. SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.).
Experience with and/or application of AI/ML Data analysis Techniques.
Experience using and programming in Python.

Responsibilities

Lead payload analysis efforts and run test cases for payload initialization for an assigned payload.
Work closely with other leaders and subject matter experts to manage payload risks and opportunities as well as leading relevant opportunities and studies.
Work closely with customers to ensure the success of payload products and milestones.
Other duties as assigned.
