About The Position

The Rewind Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring rewinding equipment to process finished materials according to customer specifications. This position ensures quality control during the rewinding process and maintains accurate documentation of production activities using internal systems. This Role can be 2nd shift 3 pm-11 pm, or 3rd shift, 11 pm-7 am.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience preferred
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Basic computer proficiency, including email
  • Ability to read and interpret job specifications
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Ability to read and use measuring tools accurately
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to read and write detailed reports
  • Good organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must pass pre-employment assessment
  • Drug screening required
  • Background check required
  • Understanding of rewinding processes and equipment
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures
  • Familiarity with PRISM software
  • Safety protocols and procedures
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting
  • Data entry and record keeping

Responsibilities

  • Operate rewinding machinery safely and efficiently
  • Review and verify job jacket information for accuracy before starting production
  • Enter production data and maintain records in the ERP system
  • Inspect materials for quality defects during the rewinding process
  • Monitor tension control and material alignment
  • Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures
  • Communicate with team members regarding job status and quality issues
  • Package and label finished products according to specifications
