About The Position

Lamp Rynearson is seeking a BIM / Revit Technician to support multidisciplinary engineering and design teams in Omaha. This is not an architectural design position. The role focuses on developing and managing Revit models, project drawings, and accurate deliverables for engineering projects such as municipal facilities, treatment plants, utility and infrastructure facilities, and campus projects. As part of a 100% employee-owned company, you will collaborate with engineers, designers, surveyors, and project managers. Requirements

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit
  • Three or more years of experience using Revit or supporting BIM workflows
  • Strong understanding of model-based design and documentation
  • Ability to learn new software and workflows quickly, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Clear communication and effective collaboration
  • Attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience creating and managing Revit families, templates, and project standards
  • Experience coordinating models across multiple disciplines
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Navisworks
  • Experience working with point clouds or reality-capture data
  • Ability to interpret engineering, architectural, and construction documents
  • Familiarity with cloud-based document management or model collaboration platforms
  • Education or training in drafting, design technology, engineering technology, architecture, construction, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Revit models and project drawings for multidisciplinary engineering projects
  • Produce accurate drawings, details, and supporting project documentation from Revit models
  • Convert design, existing-condition, and geospatial information into accurate project models
  • Assist with multidisciplinary model coordination
  • Support model setup, file organization, and project standards
  • Create and manage Revit families, templates, and content libraries
  • Assist with model reviews, quality control, and standards compliance
  • Integrate point clouds and reality-capture data into Revit models and existing-condition workflows
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, surveyors, project managers, and other design professionals
  • Research and evaluate new technologies, software, and workflow improvements
  • Help refine BIM standards, workflows, and best practices across the firm
