About The Position

VHB is seeking an experienced Senior Revit Designer to join our Watertown, MA office. If you are passionate about high-quality Revit modeling and ready to take the next step in your career, this is a strong opportunity to do impactful work on complex, visible projects. As our workload continues to grow, you’ll play a key role in delivering some of the largest and most exciting local projects in the region. You’ll focus on advanced modeling of buildings and structures - using your Revit expertise to help shape projects from concept through detailed design. At VHB, you’ll be joining a collaborative, multidisciplinary team within a well-established, growing firm. You’ll work closely with engineers, architects, and designers across the VHB footprint, giving you exposure to a wide variety of project types, design challenges, and cutting-edge tools and workflows.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree on relevant field of study preferred.
  • 5-10 years of CAD design experience; ideally 3+ years of experience in Revit architectural and/or structural modeling and plan production.
  • Must have excellent working knowledge of drafting standards.
  • Effective written, communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills to produce high-quality deliverables in an efficient manner.
  • Team oriented with strong capability to work independently.
  • Motivated to lead and mentor others on Revit and drawing production procedures.
  • Has a persistent initiative to continually learn new technical practices and to earn the confidence of clients, company management/colleagues, and regulators.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Construction Cloud is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to develop structural drawings from conceptual phase to final design for a variety of buildings and transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Provide Revit modeling support to Project Planners/engineers and Managers as needed during project planning phase.
  • Create and manage structural models and integrate with architectural/MEP/civil models and CAD file.
  • Develop /update BIM standards, workflows and quality control to ensure consistency, quality and efficiency
  • Mentor junior Revit and CAD designers and lead the design team on model coordination and planset production.
