About The Position

AEITS, Inc., a GTSC company, is seeking a Level 2 Reverse Software Engineer for an on-site role in Hanover, Maryland. The position calls for mastery of Python, C, or C++, experience with Windows and UNIX architectures, and advanced skill managing automated CI/CD environments. The engineer will translate mission requirements into scalable software designs, work with massive datasets, oversee quality assurance, and lead and mentor software team members. The role requires an active Top Secret SCI clearance with appropriate polygraph. No certifications are required.

Requirements

• At least 14 years of experience in high-complexity software contracts and programs.
• Mastery of Python, C, or C++ and experience with multi-platform Windows/UNIX architecture.
• Demonstrated experience leading software teams and mentoring junior developers.
• Active Top Secret SCI clearance with appropriate polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Elasticsearch.
• Front-end development experience.
• Superior problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering under tight resource constraints.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex mission requirements into scalable software designs and technical roadmaps.
• Handle massive datasets and optimize performance for high-stakes environments.
• Lead the creation of global test plans and oversee rigorous quality assurance procedures.
• Manage automated CI/CD environments using Docker, Ansible, Jenkins, and Bamboo.
• Lead software teams and mentor junior developers.
