About The Position

DaVita is seeking an ambitious, team-oriented, analytically minded Revenue Specialist to work in a fast-paced environment. The role develops and maintains relationships with insurance companies and collects payment on outstanding patient balances. The specialist researches and resolves problem accounts, identifies trends and root causes of unpaid or underpaid claims, and works to maximize collections and achieve collection performance goals. Account research and resolution may be conducted by phone, email, or insurance carrier portals. The position also involves collaboration with clinical personnel and teammates. The listed wage range is $19.29–$23.00 per hour; compensation depends on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to research and problem-solve using analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Intermediate computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Demonstrated history of resolving challenging issues.
• Strong team values.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or bachelor’s degree.
• Healthcare and medical billing or collections experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with insurance companies and insurance representatives.
• Collect payments from insurance companies on outstanding patient balances.
• Research and resolve problem accounts, including claim rejections, underpayments, and denials; submit appeals when appropriate.
• Identify trends and perform root cause analysis on unpaid and underpaid claims.
• Maximize collections and achieve collection performance goals.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clinical personnel and teammates.
• Research and resolve accounts by phone, email, and insurance carrier portals.
