About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Reporting Accountant to join our team. Under direct supervision, this role is responsible for analyzing revenue data and supporting the preparation of accrual and re-accrual entries, while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of revenue accounting, production data, and general accounting principles.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (BBA or BS) in Accounting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., XLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables)
Foundational knowledge of revenue accounting, production, and general accounting principles

Nice To Haves

One (1+) year of accounting experience, preferably in oil and gas
Demonstrated interest in process improvements and efficiency enhancements
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work assignments
Strong organizational and time management skills
High attention to detail with the ability to learn new systems and concepts quickly

Responsibilities

Analyze monthly revenue data, including production volumes and pricing, to support accrual and re-accrual processes
Prepare accruals, journal entries, and perform month-end close activities
Reconcile general ledger accounts and support account reconciliation processes
Meet all revenue reporting deadlines in a timely manner
Assist other members of the Revenue Reporting team, as needed
Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as assigned
