About The Position

The Washington Post is seeking a Revenue Operations Director to support the execution of sales operations, reporting, and pipeline management, while also helping build and stabilize core revenue infrastructure for the Washington Post’s global revenue business. This role will report to the Senior Director of Operational Strategy & Execution and operationalize revenue initiatives, ensure data accuracy, and drive consistency across forecasting, financial planning, and performance tracking. This individual will serve as a critical connector across Sales, FP&A, Analytics, and Operations, ensuring teams have clear visibility into performance, pacing, and pipeline health, while enabling efficient execution against revenue goals and establishing scalable processes across the revenue organization.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or Business Analytics
  • Strong experience working with revenue data, reporting, and performance tracking
  • Experience with forecasting, pipeline management, and revenue planning processes
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis, with experience building reports and dashboards
  • Experience supporting compensation or incentive programs
  • Experience with CRM and revenue systems (e.g., Salesforce) without requiring deep technical ownership
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and process consistency
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and present to leadership
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies and gaps
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day pipeline management, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness of sales data across revenue reporting
  • Support and help operationalize forecasting across weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadences, including pipeline tracking, pacing analysis, and variance reporting
  • Build and maintain recurring reporting frameworks and dashboards to track revenue performance across industries, products, and accounts
  • Ensure proper opportunity management, stage progression, and adherence to defined sales processes
  • Execute territory and account list management, including updates, tracking coverage, and supporting goal allocation
  • Support compensation plan administration, including tracking performance against quotas and validating data inputs
  • Help build and stabilize core revenue infrastructure, including: Supporting forecasting models and pipeline management frameworks, Maintaining data governance standards and improving data quality, Assisting in headcount planning and capacity modeling, Supporting revenue incentive program tracking and administration, Contributing to cost center tracking and cost of sale inputs
  • Collaborate with FP&A on budget tracking, cost of sale inputs, and revenue reporting
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies, proactively improving data quality and reporting reliability
  • Support implementation and optimization of tools, workflows, and integrations to streamline revenue operations
  • Prepare materials for leadership reviews, including pipeline summaries, forecasts, and performance insights
